Very excited to share something exciting and new with the world very soon.
In May we are doing a short run of gigs mainly based on my albums to date. My first album Glasgows Guitar Colloquium was released in 2018…6 years and so much has happened.
We’ve had a global pandemic which saw me run for the hills (still there and enjoying the Highlands more than ever). I released a lock down album; recorded entirely on my mobile phone microphone and edited on an outdated Apple MacBook Pro, mixed and mastered by Andrea Gobbi at Carrier Waves.
I joined the Peatbog Faeries!
I was involved in a prime time BBC tv show called “Take a Hike” which still draws people out to Peatbog Faeries gigs and was repeated recently.
My partner and I had a baby and lost her at 4 days old. Imogen Mae Archer Watson was in our lives for such a short time but changed us forever. That hit us extremely hard, as you might expect.
That wasn’t to be the end of the brutality of nature as my partner was in a head-on collision with a tourist driving on the wrong side of the road. Recovery for her is ongoing and, although he has been charged with dangerous driving, Sarah life will never be the same again.
Before the crash, though, Sarah did book us this tour in May!
I’ll be touring material from both the albums and some new stuff too with my very good friend and world-class pianist Rory Matheson. He is quite frankly one of the best musicians you’ll hear and it is an honour to have him along for the next adventure!
Much more to come in the run up to these gigs. We’ve been recording all sorts of video for you to peruse prior to purchasing your tickets for the performances.
